She is a pitcher but got a late start. She is on a team with a knowledgable coach who has had many player move on to the next level. However he's carrying 18 girls and ebing my daughter is the number 3 pitcher she's not getting much playing time. Also, he doesn't aloow pitchers to bat nor paly other positions. We are in Louisiana and finding teams other than "daddy ball" is very difficult. A younger player still needs time/good coaching to develop as a player. If they join a high powered team that only cares about winning they might be forced to the bench in favor of players who are already more skilled.
